Our Trendy Surfaces team spent a Sunday in March cleaning up Huntington Beach. Beach cleanups are a fun and easy way to volunteer our time by helping to keep our beaches and ocean clean!
Every year hundreds of thousands of volunteers comb beaches and coastlines around the world to clean this debris. These materials are also called “marine debris” or “marine pollution” and their quantity has been increasing due to anthropocentric activities. Marine debris is one of the greatest threats our ocean faces, but luckily it is an issue with which we can all play a part in the solution.
As waste continually pollutes our streets, waterways, and beaches, the cleanup provides the opportunity for us to help protect and restore the environments we all call home. Trendy Surfaces is passionate in giving back to our community. We’re always looking for volunteers to help out as well as participate in the cleanups. After so much time apart, let’s make the world’s largest volunteer effort to clean our waterways better together.
Please reach out to us if you would like to join us in our next beach clean up or community give back event.
